More info

One of the original titles to ship with the Atari 2600 in 1977, Video Olympics contains eight types of Pong for play with one, two or four players.

Included are Pong, Super Pong, Soccer, Foozpong, Hockey, Quadrapong, Handball, Volleyball and Basketball.

Pong is the classic game of video tennis and may be played against the computer, a human opponent or in two two-person teams. All other games are for two or more players only. Super Pong puts each player in charge of two paddles and may be played with up to four players. In Soccer, Foozpong, Hockey and Quadrapong, you try bounce the ball into your opponent's goal. Handball is Pong played against a wall. In Volleyball, you try to make your opponent miss the ball while avoiding the net. Finally, Basketball is a combination of Pong and basketball.

Depending on which game you select, some or all of the following options are available: Speed, Whammy, Catch and Jump. Each determines what action occurs when you press the fire button. Speed increases the speed of the ball, Whammy increases the angle of deflection, Catch allows you to catch the ball and Jump lets you make your paddle rise to meet the ball.

In total, there are 50 different variations to choose from. Each game ends when one player or team scores 21 points.
