Days of Thunder (Nintendo NES, 1990)

The player takes on the role of Cole Trickle a rookie driver and competes in the stock car action featured in the Tom Cruise film, Days of Thunder. The player competes for the series cup in eight races against fifteen other drivers. There are seven different tracks with two races run at Daytona Beach. Each race is preceded by a four qualifying laps to determine the race starting positions. During the race a player has to monitor the damage indicator that shows the condition of each part of the car. The player can make pit stops and they have the option of changing tires, refueling and making engine repairs
