More info

The God of War Saga collects five of Kratos' adventures on one PlayStation 3 console. However, these games aren't simply ported from their respective systems. Instead, each game features remastered high-definition graphics that takes full advantage of the PlayStation 3's hardware. Both God of War and God of War II also receive a full set of trophies. Lastly, some of the games also feature 3D support as well. Even if you've played these games before, this PS3 collection will let you experience the saga in a new way.The original God of War was released on the PlayStation 2. In this action title, Kratos is betrayed by Ares. Due to the trickery of Ares, Kratos slaughters his entire family. With nothing left to live for, he swears revenge on the one who betrayed him. Armed with a set of blades attached to his wrists, you'll seek your revenge in this 15-hour title. Combat is fast-paced and visceral, as you'll use powerful combination attacks to shred your foes apart. You'll also gain the use of magic spells that let you turn your foes to stone. After you deal enough damage, you can become enraged, doing more damage with every hit.In God of War II, your vengeance is complete, and you've been given a spot in Olympus. Fearing your power, Zeus and the other gods betray you, casting you into Hades for all of eternity. After crawling out of the underworld, it's time to take your revenge on those who betrayed you. You'll partner up with new allies in your quest to stop Zeus and his pantheon of gods. Everything about this sequel is an improvement over the original PlayStation 2 title. There are twice as many bosses, more enemies, and more complex levels.God of War III is the end of the trilogy. In this Sony title, you'll square off against Zeus in a battle to the death. While the gameplay is the same, this PS3 title features new weapons and spells. It also takes full advantage of the PS3 hardware, offering boss fights that fill up the entire screen. By finding hidden items known as Godly Possessions, you can grant new powers to your character. This PlayStation 3 title also features some jaw-dropping graphics, such as when your character is scaling Mount Olympus. The God of War Origins Collections was originally released on the PlayStation Vita. While the other three titles are on the disc, these titles are a digital download. Included in this collection is both the Chains of Olympus and the Ghost of Sparta games. These games are designed to fill in some of the gaps in Kratos' history. For example, one game serves as an origin tale for the hero. These video games are excellent choices for gamers who are eager to learn more about the motivations behind the character. The God of War Collection for the PlayStation 3 provides over 50 hours of content across all five games. Each of these games won multiple awards and told a story unlike any you've seen in a video game. This PS3 saga is a must-own title for any gamer.

Includes God of war 1, 2, and 3 on disk. New copies come with DLC codes for God of War Collection (Chain of Olympus and Ghost of Sparta).
