More info

Batman is back in "Batman: Arkham City" for the Xbox 360. In this adventure, Dr. Hugo Strange has transformed a quarter of Gotham into a new prison. When Strange deduces that Bruce Wayne is Batman, he has him arrested and thrown into prison. Batman is in a race against time as he needs to stop Hugo Strange from unleashing the mysterious Protocol 10. However, Batman also has to fight against the villains he put into prison in the first place. Classic Batman Rogues like Calendar Man, Harley Quinn, Joker, Catwoman, and Riddler all stand in your path. The plot is significantly darker than your average "Batman" tale, showing off a new side of the caped crusader. Even though it is a sequel to "Arkham Asylum," you don't need to play the game to understand the story. This game was developed by Rocksteady Studios and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. "Arkham City" had a release date of 2011 on the Microsoft Xbox 360.Gameplay in "Arkham City" is similar to the previous game. However, in "Arkham City," you now have a larger world to explore rather than the asylum from the first game. Batman has a number of tools to help him explore Gotham City, including his grapple gun. In "Arkham City," he is outfitted with a new cape that lets him glide long distances. This cape lets you quickly traverse from one side of the map to the other in minutes. Batman has a number of tools to help him in this game, including Detective Vision. This mode lets him view hidden clues in the environment or observe his enemies through walls. You also wield items such as grenades that freeze water, smoke pellets, and the classic Batarang. Eventually, you're going to need to fight your enemies in hand-to-hand combat. Using a freeflow combat system, the dark knight takes on as many as 12 enemies at one time. Seamlessly switch from one enemy to another during a fight. As your enemies attack you, counter their attacks with the press of a button. Some parts of the game require you to stay hidden in the shadows because your enemies have guns. In these parts, you use your tools to take out enemies one at a time. By hiding in grates and on rafters, you divide and conquer the enemy forces. "Arkham City" features boss characters that require you to develop new skills to beat them. You need to figure out the weakness of a boss by using each of Batman's tools. Once you've finished the campaign in "Arkham City," try your hand at the challenge maps. These maps come in two varieties. The maps have you either fighting waves of enemies or using stealth to defeat them. In each challenge map, you play as different characters, including Nightwing. "Arkham City" for the Xbox takes players 40 hours of gameplay to find everything.
