Gamers control a robotic humanoid and soar through the sky to defend their kingdom from an ancient empire of machines in Rodea the Sky Soldier. The story takes place in Garuda, a kingdom made up of floating islands in the sky, where a young, mechanically inclined girl named Ion stumbles upon the titular robot and brings it back to life. Soon, the ancient, terrestrial Naga Empire also returns, and players must take to the skies to dispatch massive Naga automatons, solve puzzles, collect valuable mech pieces, and uncover the truth about Rodea's past.
